We take pride in presenting these self-catering cottages. We present them immaculately and provide as much as possible to minimise what you need to bring and to maximise your enjoyment of the holiday cottages and your stay on Exmoor. We respect the environment, sustainability and support local produce -- we have a superb choice of local food products around us.
Toads Breech is our larger cottage sleeping 4 (+cot if requested), in two large bedrooms: one with king-size bed, the other set up as a twin, (warning: we do check your car on departure because numerous guests have found the beds so comfortable they've threatened to take them with them!) Rurally located in dramatic and varied landscape, they offer peaceful retreats for a holiday, or short break, at any time of the year. Being little known, Exmoor is unspoilt and uncrowded with great walking, fishing, wildlife, riding and space in which to relax and "do your own thing".
From our peaceful holiday cottages it is easy to make your own explorations and discoveries or to indulge in a very varied range of activities, plus, of course the pleasure of enjoying fine Exmoor produce either via your own culinary skills 'at home' in your cottage of through exploring local pubs and restaurants.
Andrew is a keen trout and salmon fisherman, happy to advise on Exmoor waters, permits and tactics and Anne is a keen gardener always willing to chat about the various gardens, National Trust places and nurseries on, and around, Exmoor. There are hundreds of miles of footpath and bridleways for very varied walking and riding. It is a great place for dogs and we welcome dogs by arrangement. We have our own fields for morning and evening dog walks.
